So, I was pretty busy last week (did not even get a chance to work on that sample/cover letter for that dream job for the political consulting job) because I was working as a remote writer for a company that does SEO, content-writing. Pay was pretty good. Like $20 an article and I was told, there was a lot of work. And I actually got partial payment for some of the work I did and I'll be paid the rest this week. (unlike that newspaper where I freelanced and was not paid at all).
Problem is that was last week. This week, I've got nothing coming in yet. Even checked in with the director of the company who seems really nice and responsive. I'll check in with her again tomorrow. I mean, it seemed like she was pretty happy with my work and all, so I can't really think of a reason why all of a sudden the work's dried up. Thinking positive thoughts.
And to keep myself busy, I also was paid for a review for Yelp..Basically $50 for one hour's worth of work. That's $25 for the review and another $25 in two weeks, if the review is still up. So far, I've received payment for that first part. And I'd sold some free concert tickets online for $50. People really like Blake Shelton. It's definitely good to have some money in the bank account. At one point, I had less than $20 in my account. Like my whole life savings...That is not a good feeling. 'Til next time.
